Best known as the creator of Metasploit, HD has been building security companies since 1999 with a mix of services, research, and product development roles that focus on applying research to real-world security challenges. HD has been hands-on with network discovery and fingerprinting for over twenty years, pentesting networks, writing exploits, and starting Rapid7’s Project Sonar.

Chris Kirsch is CRO and Co-Founder of Rumble. With a background in product marketing and a technical mindset, he has helped formulate the go-to-market strategy at PGP, nCipher, Rapid7, and Veracode. In 2017, he earned the Black Badge for winning the Social Engineering Capture the Flag competition at DEF CON, the world’s largest hacker conference. He has a passion for OSINT and is a volunteer advisor for the National Child Protection Task Force.
Mathew Murphy is Chief Software Architect at Rumble. A polyglot developer, he has been building web sites since HTML 1.0, and is experienced at connecting together large scale distributed information systems. Prior to joining Rumble, he worked in cloud devops and system administration for IBM, including vulnerability management. His hobby interests include photography and graphic design, and he likes to share his office with three parakeets.
Director, Content Strategy
Thao Doan is Director of Content Strategy at Rumble. A documentarian at heart, she is leading the strategic direction and development of Rumble’s content library. Prior to joining Rumble, she spent nearly a decade at Rapid7, building the technical content community and bringing content design to life. Outside of Rumble, she enjoys reading books on design and digital strategy and volunteering.
VP, Product Strategy, Palo Alto Networks
Rishi Bhargava joined Palo Alto Network via the acquisition of Demisto, where he was a co-founder and vice president, marketing. Prior to founding Demisto, he was vice president and general manager of the software defined datacenter group at Intel Security. Before Intel, he was vice president of product management for datacenter and server security products at McAfee, now part of Intel Security. As an entrepreneur at McAfee, he launched multiple products to establish McAfee leadership in risk and compliance, virtualization, and cloud security. He joined McAfee by way of acquisition in 2009 (Solidcore, an enterprise security startup). At Solidcore, he was responsible for product management and strategy. As one of the early employees and member of the leadership team, he was instrumental in defining the company’s product strategy and growing the business.

Friedrichs most recently served as the Founder and CEO of Phantom. Prior to Phantom, Friedrichs founded Immunet, acquired by Sourcefire in 2010 and a key component to Cisco’s acquisition of Sourcefire in 2013; now thriving as Cisco’s Advanced Malware Protection (AMP). Friedrichs co-founded SecurityFocus (Bugtraq) and led DeepSight, the world’s first Internet early warning system, acquired by Symantec in 2002. He also co-founded Secure Networks and led Ballista (CyberCop), one of the industry’s first vulnerability management solutions, acquired by McAfee in 1998. Friedrichs architected and developed a prototype of the first commercial penetration-testing product, SNIPER, acquired by Core Security Technologies in 2001 and further developed into CORE IMPACT.
SVP Products, Demisto, Palo Alto Networks
Slavik Markovich is a serial entrepreneur with a passion to solve hard technology problems. He is co-founder and CEO of Demisto and serves as board member and advisor to several security startups. Prior to co-founding Demisto, he was VP & CTO of database technologies at McAfee (Intel Security). He joined McAfee via the acquisition of Sentrigo, a database security startup, which he co-founded and served as CTO. Slavik has over 20 years of experience in infrastructure, security and software development. Previously, he was vice president of R&D and chief architect at DB@net, a leading IT architecture consultancy firm. Slavik has contributed to many open-source projects and is a regular speaker at industry conferences. He holds a BSc degree in Computer Science.
Haroon Meer is the founder of Thinkst, the company behind the well loved Thinkst Canary. Over the past two decades, Haroon has contributed to several books on information security and has published a number of papers and tools on various topics related to the field. He is still found giving talks on breaking things and building things at conferences around the world.
Dan is a partner at Decibel where he focuses on helping founders build the next-generation of cyber-security, cloud, devops and data infrastructure companies. Prior to joining Decibel, he was a venture capitalist at Battery Ventures where he led investments in Databricks, SumoLogic, Matillion, Contrast Security, Expel and InfluxData while previously leading strategic investments and acquisitions at VMware. Dan graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and made the Forbes 30 under 30 list for Venture Capital in 2019.
Co-founder and CTO, Duo Security
Jon is the co-founder and CTO at Duo Security, a cybersecurity company based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Over ten years, Jon grew Duo to 25,000 customers and a few hundred million in revenue, resulting in an acquisition by Cisco. Beyond Duo, Jon enjoys paying it forward and helping early-stage startups. Before starting Duo, Jon lived the academic life, completing his PhD at the University of Michigan in the realm of cloud security. In a prior life, Jon dabbled in offensive security research.

Jon is the Founding Partner of Decibel, a high impact venture capital firm that invests in early-stage technology companies that are accelerating the digital transformation of the global economy. An entrepreneur turned venture capitalist, Jon has worked alongside dozens of founders from the earliest stage of development through IPO. Previously a general partner at New Enterprise Associates, Jon invested in early-stage start-ups in the consumer internet and enterprise software sectors including Elastic, MongoDB, Snapchat, Sourcefire, and Uber. Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, he was an entrepreneur and co-founder of IMlogic, Inc., serving as its Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Products, through acquisition by Symantec Corporation. Jon received a B.A.in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from Harvard College.
Founder, StoneMill Ventures
Michael was previously the CISO at Zscaler, a company that has pioneered the Security-as-a-Service space. As a member of the founding team, he spent a decade building Zscaler’s research team, driving the security model and evangelizing the vision. Prior to Zscaler, Michael helped build SPI Dynamics (acquired by HP) and iDEFENSE (acquired by VeriSign). Following Zscaler’s successful IPO in March 2018, Michael chose to pursue his passion for angel investing on a full time basis by launching StoneMill Ventures. He seeks out passionate entrepreneurs ready to disrupt key components of the security ecosystem. Michael is an active investor who looks for founders desiring mentorship alongside financial capital.
